Every year on January 1, I return from malanka in Petrashivka to Horbova via Bayraky. And every year I am looking for famous dancing Horses (Caii) in ribbons at the streets of Bayraky. Every year I ask people if they have seen or heard the Horses. Every year they say: "Yes, they go somewhere in the village, but we don't know where they are exactly." EVERY YEAR!
So I did not see the local Malanka in its natural range. Only in Chernivtsi in the open-air museum and at Malankafest. But this Malanka is alive, it still walks through the village - so I show you at least the festival photos of 2008 and 2012.
